Sacred Dance

This illustration series, inspired by Japanese Shinto, tells the story of a young boy believed to be a divine being due to his unique appearance, though he is simply a child with albinism. Raised by village priests, he is trained to communicate with the gods through dance. On the day of the sacred summoning, dressed in ceremonial robes and surrounded by priests, he feels a divine presence watching him. As he dances, he experiences an out-of-body sensation and sees a godly figure. The boy collapses after the ritual, and the deity manifests, confirming his divine summoning.
